Thailand Association of the Blind [TAB]
Thailand Association of the Blind was established by a handful number of blind people, mostly graduates of Bangkok School for the Blind, in 1967 under the advice of Miss Geneveive Caulfield, an American blind woman who has been recognized by Thai blind people as “mother of education for the blind in Thailand” and the supreme spiritual leader within TAB. It was at first registered as Bangkok Association of the Blind, and later changed its name to the Association of the Blind of Thailand in 1982 and Thailand Association of the Blind in 1997. Being known as the major civil rights organizations in the field of blindness, the TAB has grown both in terms of membership, organizational structure and services.

Objectives of the event Running
1. To publicize and create awareness in society about the mission of the association in building a center to help, rehabilitate and empower the Thai blind.
2. To raise funds to build a center to help, rehabilitate and empower the blind in Thailand.
3. To create an attitude positive and correct understanding of people in society towards the blind.
4. To promote exercise and health care of people in society Campaign for Thai people to exercise for health.
5. To promote joint activities between the association and external agencies and the blind and the people in society.
