หลักการและเหตุผล

โรคมะเร็ง เป็นปัญหาทางสาธารณสุขที่สำคัญของโลก ในปี 2020 องค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO) ได้ประเมินผู้ป่วยมะเร็งทั่วโลก พบว่ามีจำนวนราว 19.3 ล้านคน และในปี 2040 จะมีผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเพิ่มขึ้นกว่า 28.9 ล้านคน โดย มะเร็งเต้านม จะเป็นมะเร็งที่พบมากที่สุด และมะเร็งปอดจะเป็นโรคที่มีผู้เสียชีวิตมากที่สุด รวมทั้งในทุกๆ ปี จะพบผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเด็กเพิ่มขึ้น
สำหรับสถานการณ์มะเร็งในประเทศไทย จากข้อมูลของสถาบันมะเร็งแห่งชาติ ปี 2022 พบผู้ป่วยรายใหม่ปีละประมาณ 140,000 คน และในจำนวนนี้มีผู้เสียชีวิตประมาณ 80,000 คนต่อปี นับเป็นปัญหาทางสาธารณสุขที่สำคัญเนื่องจากเป็นสาเหตุการเสียชีวิตอันดับหนึ่งของประชากรไทย และมีแนวโน้มอุบัติการณ์ของโรคมะเร็งเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อยๆ โดยกว่า 1 ใน 3 ของโรคมะเร็งทั้งหมด เกิดจากสาเหตุที่ป้องกันได้ ทั้งจากอาหาร การเลือกรับประทานอาหารไขมันสูง ผ่านการแปรรูป อาหารปิ้งย่าง หรือจากการขาดการออกกำลังกายอย่างสม่ำเสมอ การดูแลร่างกายและจิตใจถือเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ
ด้วยความร่วมมือกันของ Eastern Cancer Network เครือข่ายการรักษาผู้ป่วยมะเร็งในภาคตะวันออกของประเทศไทย วัตถุประสงค์ของเครือข่ายเพื่อสร้างประโยชน์การเข้าถึงการรักษาโรคมะเร็ง ให้ความรู้สำหรับประชาชนในภาคตะวันออก เครือข่ายฯ ประกอบด้วย 4 สถานพยาบาลได้แก่ ศูนย์มะเร็ง โรงพยาบาลไทยนครินทร์, โรงพยาบาลสำโรงการแพทย์, โรงพยาบาลแคนเซอร์อลิอันซ์ ศรีราชา (CAH) และสหคลินิกฉะเชิงเทรา (SCC) จึงร่วมกันจัดกิจกรรม เดิน-วิ่งเพื่อสุขภาพการกุศล Eastern Cancer Network Run "วิ่งกับหมอ...ไม่หงอมะเร็ง@ฉะเชิงเทรา” ขึ้น

วัตถุประสงค์ในการจัดงาน

1. สร้างความตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคมะเร็ง และเป็นกำลังใจให้กับผู้ป่วยมะเร็งทั่วประเทศ และภาคตะวันออก ตลอดจนสร้างแรงบันดาลใจในการดูแลสุขภาพผ่านบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ เป็นแบบอย่างในการดูแลสุขภาพ
2. ส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนออกกำลังกายอย่างถูกต้อง เหมาะสม และต่อเนื่อง
3. เพื่อสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในพื้นที่จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา
4. เพื่อเผยแพร่ประชาสัมพันธ์เครือข่ายรักษามะเร็ง Eastern Cancer Network ให้กับประชาชนในภาคตะวันออกของไทยได้ทราบในศักยภาพ ความพร้อมในการดูแลผู้ป่วยมะเร็ง โดยทีมแพทย์เฉพาะทางด้านมะเร็ง และทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพ
5. นำรายได้หลังหักค่าใช้จ่าย มอบให้โรงพยาบาลพุทธโสธร เพื่อนำไปดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยมะเร็ง

COMPETITION RULES

The competition is governed by the rules of the AAT and WA and all rulings will be final.
Competitors must be in the correct age category. To help determine your proper age, minus 2023 from your year of birth.
Winners must present a proper ID, either a passport or identification card that shows one's picture and year of birth, or they will not be entitled to a prize.
Runners must go through all checkpoints and be able to produce the item that is given them to show they have passed each checkpoint.
Bib numbers must be affixed to the front of the race shirt. Race officials have the right to not issue prizes if people are not in the right age category or if they're running for another person.
This competition does not in any way support competitors selling their bib numbers to other competitors. Personal information will not be changed once it's submitted and anyone running under someone else's bib number will automatically be disqualified from receiving prizes.
The registration event cannot be refunded or changed later.
